Yoojin + Jay's engagement session took place at Crandon Park on Key Biscayne. We chose to photograph it early on a Monday morning during a holiday weekend. The benefit? We had the entire beach to ourselves.  Pro tip: when planning your engagement session, try to photograph your session on a weekday over a weekend to avoid crowds.

I always enjoy photographing at Crandon Park because there's a large array of palm tree clusters. Many beaches on South Beach only offer sand. The palm trees are not only beautiful, but also offer variety in backdrop for your images, as you can see from their session!

The couple are planning their November destination wedding at The Edition Hotel with Amber of Oh My Occasions! Guests will fly in from NYC - where the couple is located - and as far fetched as South Korea, where Yoojin has family.

 

Miami Beach is a popular wedding destination for New Yorkers and those from the Mid-West, when the weather turns cold, a flock of northerners fly south for the sunshine and warm weather.  Sometimes a Miami winter can surprise you with a cold front, but often times, you and your guests can enjoy 75 degree weather in the middle of winter. It's also the best time to host a wedding in Miami because the summer humidity is non-existent.
