Sofia + Charlton's wedding is what dreams are made of. A Miami girl born and raised, Sofia moved to South Carolina for her career as a news anchor; her life would forever change when she serendipitously met the dashing Charlton. As the bride's father comically recounted in his speech, it was apparent it was true love when she called her dad one day and said, "I really can't find anything wrong with him - he's perfect!"

 

Mixing her Cuban and his Southern roots, they celebrated with an Hora Loca and midnight snacks of pastelitos and cortaditos, while dancing underneath a spectacular Sperry tent set in traditional Chinoiserie decor and southern furniture. Not to mention, everything for this wedding was custom. And I mean everything: from stationery, to shot glasses, to blankets to a custom DJ booth. No detail was overlooked! As much as this was a dream wedding for the couple, it was also a dream wedding to capture.

This lavish soiree took place at Sofia's childhood home. Even cooler, she grew up on several acres owned by her extended family, so everyone has a home on the property, and their backyards all backup to one another. Talk about a fun place for a party! 

​

As beautiful as the couple is, they are also lovely people. Sofia was an easy-going bride (my favorite!), and this is the second wedding I've photographed for their family. As much as I love photographing weddings, I equally enjoy joining families as an honorary member for such a special occasion.
