Decide what style of wedding photography do you prefer

Do you want more candids or portraits? A mix? Do you like light, and soft or dark and mystic? Or, do you like lots of color and contrast?

Figure out your budget

Everyone has a budget! Knowing yours will save you time

Interview photographers- Facetime or in person

The next most important factor is determining personality match. Remember your photographer is the 1 person who will be with you the entire day - make sure you like them!

Make a short list of photographers

Conduct an interview for the second time

Don't be afraid to scale down

If the photographer you love is bit of a strech price-wise, ask them to create a custom package with fewer hours of photography or maybe remove the album or engagement session. At the end of the day, it's better to hire a talented photographer than someone who is less experienced.
