First-time parents Melissa and Francisco eagerly awaited the birth of baby boy Gael during our maternity photo shoot. We gathered at my in-home studio for this light and airy session.

When planning your maternity photo shoot, it's best to schedule your session during your last trimester - sometime between 28 and 35 weeks. Don't be shy about involving your husband and any other children.

Lastly, hand placement is extra important during maternity photo sessions as it demonstrates depth and draws the eye towards the belly. Be sure to work with an established maternity photographer to guarantee the best quality photos.
