Three cheers for Mark + Kelly! I say that not only because they were recently married; however, because they were able to successfully plan and execute a wedding during Covid times without re-scheduling or hesitation.

For those of you planning to get married before the end of 2021, it goes without saying that Covid has taken all the fun away - and for good reason - we have to take care of our health, but at the same time, life must go on. How does one get married during a health pandemic?

During the past few months, I've seen a variety of creative options ranging from elopements to family-only weddings to more intimate gatherings of family and just a few friends. I share my experiences here so that others might be able to navigate these murky waters.

With the release of the vaccine, Americans are finally hopeful that we are on the path to recovery. In the interim, we still have couples patiently waiting to get married - and some have waited up to 2 years (1 year of planning + 1 year delay).

For this particular wedding, Kelly + Mark whittled down their original guest list from 200+ to just family, and a few friends in their wedding party. Next, they made sure that all elderly attendees had been fully vaccinated beforehand. They also asked all guests to take a test before the big day.

Thank you to all the vendors who not only entertained guests, but also risk their own health simply by going to work.
