Patrice + Brett are Texas transplants who now live in Miami. The couple chose Vizcaya Museum and Gardens for their engagement session. The couple live in Brickell, and are planning their May destination wedding in Italy. We met up on a weekday morning to avoid the crowds as Vizcaya is an extremely popular destination not only for tourists, but also, for those photographing quinceañeras, family portraits, engagements and bridal portraits.

For those of you planning your next photo session at Vizcaya, you will want to call ahead of time to ask about the portrait session fee, which is fee the museum charges to anyone who wants to take photos there. Also, if you are a photographer shooting there for the first time, it's useful to know that Vizcaya does not permit roller bags, so be sure you pack your hand-carried photo bag.
